Art and its people

hi folks,

A lot of times i have heard debates upon the topic Art and Artists, myths upon certain habits of artists, their lifestyle, their thoughts and actions and most importantly what Art is and who are its people.

In this blog, i am going to share my point of view about Art and Artists because being a fine artist myself i do not relate to most of the things i’ve heard about artists.

here are my thoughts on Art and its people:

1. Art is not art if it needs to be defined. usually when people see something unique they call it Art because they have never seen such before. We often find so many things unique but do not connect with it in any way. Art is something that can be felt only and of course that happens when we connect with it. I feel that it has no specific style or language but a rare connection with mind and soul.
2. Art is not done, it happens!. we often see people doing their favourite activities all the time with a great passion and mostly on daily basis. i think art has a specific time to happen, when we spiritually connect with the universe we end up creating something of our own and it continues for a very limited time.
3. Suffering with Art Block. Continuing with above point, artists suffer with a worst feeling that is Art block. it happens when you are totally out of ideas of what to create, from where to start, you can not express your creativeness in any way and being extremely demotivated and yes this block continues for a long time like months. its not about time, we have much time for it but we get stuck.
4. logical thinking. i am sure you must have heard one thing about artists that they have a very unique thinking. unique thinking means understanding something with a different view point but artists think in a way that actually makes sense, like artists see or understands something that others totally wont. there is a famous quotation of leonardo da vinci, he says, the artist sees what others only catch a glimpse of.
5. Appearance. it is said that artists are careless about their looks as they dress up very casually and roughly. the fact is that artists are very raw, they dress up according to their comfort zone, they to not pretend to look good, it depends upon how they feel from inside and dress accordingly. if they feel joyful they prefer to wear very popping bright colors depending upon the mood. its a myth that every other artist dresses roughly but yes every time they get specifically noticed.
6. Quiet and rude by nature. artists are often found sitting quietly and seperately, thinking about something seriously and people assume them as proud ones because they mostly struggle to fit in. when artists find art in life they become extremely close to reality and start to think more deeply because they become aware of the truth and its importance. they are very observant thus, think more and speak less. sometimes they get extremely offended over little things because they can not tolerate artificiality.
7. Never go with the flow. artists are always unaware of their destination, that is why people find them tough to understand. they are basically trend setters, not trend followers and live a simple life.
8. Art and GOD. art takes you to God. when you find art, you find God. the relationship between an artist and God is the most strongest one because not every one has an eye of seeing the colors of truth and He granted a sense of art to his few chosen people.

According to me, Art is rare not everywhere!
